About Me
Marie Loiseau Rogers
I hope to use my legal education and experience to help people understand and navigate the legal processes surrounding disability and death. My mission is to make planning for these hardships straightforward and low-cost.
Before starting Oregon Will Lady, I worked for a boutique estate planning and administration firm in Salem, Oregon. I assisted high net-worth clients with sophisticated tax planning and asset protection strategies. I also helped clients when a loved one became disabled. Most often, I helped individuals through the trust administration and probate processes after the death of a loved one.
Before moving to Salem, I worked as a civil affairs attorney for a firm in Corvallis, Oregon. My practice focused on non-profit law, business, landlord-tenant law, estate administration, guardians and conservatorships, and litigation matters.
I was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I earned my Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia, PA where I earned a full-tuition academic scholarship. During law school, I served as Staff Editor on the Temple Law Review. The article I drafted during that time, which discussed the Pennsylvania Constitution and the State's responsibility to protect the atmosphere, was selected for publication and appeared in The Temple Law Review, Vol. 91.
Before moving to Oregon, I garnered experience working with various environmental groups including the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Southern Environmental Law Center, and the Delaware Riverkeeper Network. I interned with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and the Honorable Leonard G. Brown III., in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas. I then traveled to Charleston, SC where I worked with Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services, providing civil services, including estate planning and probate work, for low-income clients in Charleston County.
I am passionate about sustainability and animal welfare, and have served on the Steering Committee of the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition and on the Heartland Humane Society Board of Directors.
In my free time, I enjoy taking road trips, reading, painting, and repurposing furniture. My husband and I can often be found hiking by the Oregon Coast with our daughter and our two rescue dogs, Sydney and Mochi.
